Zeitoun and Nasser had to eat only the crackers and cheese as they were muslim and couldn't eat pork. What a cruelty of these guards(Andrea).
I like Andrea's tweet because she brought out the "cruelty and disrespect" to the muslims and their religion. Eventhough it was against the law to have stayed back after the mandatory evacuation, they can punish him but serving them pork knowing it's against their religion is really cruel and they don't deserve that. The situation were Zeitoun and Nasser was in at this point of time was very pathetic. they were able to eat only "crackers and chesse" how cruel is that! America is a country were they respect all religoins and it's quite shocking the way, the guards treated them. both victims and those who abused their power lost a "sense of humanity" (Eggers).
